This site is a mortgage calculator that shows you, in plain numbers, the things people use to pay a home loan off sooner. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what happens to it. We've written it in plain language on purpose.

Who we are

This site is run by Get Ahead Calculators (ABN 51 149 982 101). If you have any questions about your information, email tegancowie@gmail.com.

What we collect, and when

While you use the calculator: nothing that identifies you. The figures you type are used on the page, in your browser, to do the maths in front of you. We don't see them, store them, or connect them to you unless you choose to request a call at the end.

If you request a call, we collect what you provide on that form:

• Your first name and phone number
• Your preferred time to be called, what you'd like to talk about, and anything you write in the message box
• The figures you entered so the call is useful: your loan balance, interest rate, years remaining, your payoff goal, your extra repayment and offset and savings figures, any other debts, and your estimated home value if you provided one

If you don't request a call, none of the above is sent to us.

Why we collect it

One reason: so a real person can call you back and have a useful conversation about what you're after. We don't add you to email lists, we don't send marketing, and we don't sell your details.

Who we share it with

We may share your information, only with your consent, with the licensed brokers or specialists we work with so they can contact you about the things you said you wanted to discuss. We may be paid a referral fee when we make that introduction. That fee never changes what you pay anyone.

Counting visits

We use a privacy-focused counter (GoatCounter) to see how many people reach each screen of the calculator. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't identify you, and doesn't follow you to other websites. It tells us things like "40 people saw the first screen today", and nothing about who they were.

Where your information lives

Form submissions are handled by our website host (Netlify), whose servers are in the United States, and arrive to us by email. That means your information may be stored overseas. We keep it only as long as it's useful for the conversation you asked for, and we delete it if you ask us to.

Your choices

• You can use the whole calculator without giving us anything.
• You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email tegancowie@gmail.com and we'll sort it out.
• If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

General information only

Everything on this site is general information only, not financial or credit advice. The figures are estimates based on what you enter, not your full circumstances. They assume interest rates stay where they are today, which they won't, and that repayments keep going. Treat every number as a starting point, not a promise. Before acting on anything here, talk to a licensed professional about your own situation.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't quietly change what we do with your information.
